Comcast Still Sucks

And the beat goes on.  The other day I wrote about Comcast and the crappy service they offer. Late last night and early today there is all kind of stuff going on the local news about the interruption in service that Comcast customers may be experiencing...May be experience my ass.  Maybe say "are experiencing".....But why tell the truth ?

WTF can't they just be honest and tell us they fucked up, or some asshole pushed the wrong button.....Bottom line is that I have been trying to call these assholes for two days now to report the trouble and demand a refund for the movie I watched in part on two different days.  It's not even about the money, but simply about the principal of the problem.......I hate bullshit and I especially hate stupidity.

What bothers me the most is trying to reach these assholes on the phone... I would love to do it online, but there is no way in the world to tell them about a problem. Sure you can sign up, add services, do some normal things, but try to get help for something important.........CALL.....
Oh, that's right....You can't call....Actually you can call and go through the bit about your account, your problem area (phone, TV, computer ) and then you get a message telling you to please wait for the next available operator.............AND THEN........a message  " Sorry but due to heavy call volume we cannot connect you call.....Please call back later ".................................dial tone..................fuck you Comcast once again for not at least giving me the opportunity of speaking to a live person.

Un-Supermarkets

Most of us go to one. Most of us have one or two right in their local area. I am sure that if you are like me, the one near you is part of some gigantic local chain that has a branch almost everywhere you spend most of your time.  I know that I am at my local supermarket at least 3-4 times per week and that each and every time is a new and unique experience.  Here in South Florida we have Publix which has about 1000 stores.  It seems like they are all located every 3 blocks in my area.
For the most part, they are nice upscale stores that are competitively priced and very clean. OK, so you really think I am going to continue talking about the good things ? Hell No.......... Let's get down to serious business starting from getting out of my car and trying to avoid a runaway shopping cart that is heading towards me.  I'm sure I am not the only one plagued by the selfish son of a bitches that are too lazy to return the cart, but feel compelled to leave them wherever the fuck they feel like. These are the same people that never get their car dented, but manage to do it to someone else's.
So here I am entering the store and getting a nice clean shopping cart.  Ha, ha, ha.  There is no way they are clean, and almost always there is some paper, tissue, candy wrapper, or some other useless shit in the cart.  I have now taken a clean wipe that is conveniently located by the carts and have cleaned my cart to avoid germs or the plague.  ( Do you remember when the stores cleaned these ? )
Now comes the really good part. Deciding which aisle to go down first.  I usually pick the produce and fresh deli and bakery aisle which is usually at one end in all these stores.  They used to have a nice bakery department with freshly baked breads, cakes, and everything.  In fact, they had live people working behind the counter then.....NOPE.....no more......everything is lying on tables in those stupid plastic molded containers.  It not only looks like shit, but no longer is that wonderful bakery smell present.........Now to look at some nice fruit and veggies in the produce section.  Oh, guess what ???? most of the fruit and vegetables are pre-packaged in cellophane .  No longer are they lying loose for me to choose what I want.  Actually, I am not telling the entire truth.  The Tomatoes and a few other things are still loose. .......Now to the Deli department where you can buy all the unhealthy processed meats and cheese you want.  This is still behind glass and a happy employee will gladly slice whatever you want and give you a sample as well.....But.....I repeat.....But......where are the fresh salads, the freshly made tuna and other salads , the specialty dishes, the chopped liver, the cucumber salad, the rice puddings, and all those other good things ????? They are not there. Gone.... They are now in some case across from the counter in plastic containers all pre-packaged.  OMG, we are living in a world of Lazy.....Everything seems to be done for us to make our lives easier..... I hate it.  I want real people. I want a live person giving me the salads or whatever I want fresh. I also know this is never going to happen again, at least not in a supermarket.
So it is just busy, busy, busy, trying to manipulate my shopping cart around slow, lazy, inconsiderate, fat, sloppy, ugly, noisy, people also trying to shop.
My dreams of running into shoppers like pictured below seem to be fading away, and my only salvation seems to be going back to the local gourmet market that is completely wonderful, but costs about twice as much......What is a guy to do ????

Comcast Part 2.........The Apology

This is in response to my last blog about the shitty service from Comcast.  Naturally, I really believe that maybe 4 or 5 people read my blogs where I am usually ranting and raving about something or another.  Actually, there are lots more, and from all over the world.  It really goes to show you how shallow the real world is, and how messed up we all really are.  Or is it that we like to find fault with the big guys, the guys with the power, and the daily crap that all of us do go through.  Well, after writing that I did something I have not done in probably 6 months.  I looked at the comments that I never ever did, nor did I know there was a section to see these.  What a great surprise I had and how much fun did I have reading some of them.  They went from completely insane to only a little bit insane.  The really cool thing was that I noticed one from a higher up at Comcast.  Wow, I said to myself.............How the hell did this person see this, and this is really great that he made a comment.
It was really an interesting response and I really thought that one of my sick friends was playing with me.  He wanted me to give the specifics and he would look into it.  It certainly looked official enough, with an actual Comcast e mail address.  Well, I decided to be a grown up person and send the information in question figuring that I would get some sort of BS response at some future date.

Imagine my surprise this morning at about 8 am when I received a call from the executive office of Comcast wanting to speak to me.  Naturally I figured they were going to suspend my cable service, jam my telephone lines, and make it impossible for me to use my computer.  What a pleasant surprise to have this intelligent, well spoken, really nice person, go over this situation with her.  Not only did she have all the information of the deliver of my router (which I will have tomorrow), but she was looking into the reason I never received it originally and my sometimes bad TV reception.  This experience really changed my view of Comcast.  Now the cable service might still suck (it is being updated in my area for more HD etc. ) but they certainly get an A+ or 100% for the type of customer service shown to me this morning. It is too bad it took this blog to get this kind of great response, but it does show that Comcast is capable of showing some great customer service.  For that I thank and commend you Mr. Comcast......... And for the comcast rep that did read my blog, and did take the time to bring this to someones attention.............a special thank you. I guess this is my way of saying I am sorry for taking this out on all of Comcast.
