So Much Bullshit

How can we be such a great country, yet constantly find ways to fuck up everything about it ? How can we have the greatest military in the world, yet find ways to fuck our veterans ? How can all this be possible ?  Reading the news these past few weeks about all the shit going on in our VA Hospitals makes me sick.  When I first moved down to Florida, I used the VA hospital for medical stuff.  This only lasted a little more than a year, because I worried every single time I went there.
     

There was something about it that scared me.  I only prayed that I didn't become really sick that I would have to be admitted there.  From the outside, it was beautiful.  A nice new building, lots of pretty trees, etc. around it, free valet parking.  But then, on the inside, it was complete chaos.  I felt like I was back in the Army waiting on line again for anything and everything.  Wait for an appointment which took forever. Wait for a blood test. Wait to see the primary doctor. Wait for everything....OK, the primary doctor I had was a pretty nice guy.  The problem is, he would spend about 120 seconds with me and take a quick look at me and a quick look at the blood tests...There was no other time for anything else because of the huge number of other vets he was treating. There were some good things about the VA Center, but the bad certainly outweighed the good....
    

I realized this pretty quick and soon left there. Who knew that some ten years later, people would be dying to get in, and dying as a result of some of the things I just mentioned.  Usually I can joke about anything and everything, but this is a disgrace....Shame on you VA.
     

Speaking of things that are bullshit in the news lately is the new gift shop in the just opened up world trade center museum.  Sure the museum is great (I am sure), and of course there is going to be some enterprising people that have figured out more ways to fuck the public by having an overpriced gift shop with all kinds of useless items.  But what the hell, all those wonderful folks visiting from Kansas and anywhere other than NY, CA, will spend a fortune buying useless crap.  But then again, how is that different from going to a ball game these days and buying and eating all that other useless crap ?  I can't wait for St. Patricks Cathedral to have a gift shop.

Stupid Crap to Give during Festivus ( A wonderful Re-run from Dec. 2010

I can't decide if I love or hate holidays ?  Holidays can be wonderful when celebrated with family or friends, but the same holiday can be lonely if you are alone.  But then again, what really constitutes a Holiday ????  During this month, there are several holidays that retailers love.  Actually, what makes some of these so wonderful is the ridiculous things people do and say during them. I am talking now of Hanukkah, Ramadan, Kwanzaa, Yule, Christmas, and all the other derivatives of these holidays.

     I for one, love stupid things, stupid people, and especially stupid situations. I recently resigned from an organization for this reason, which of course prompted me to write this.  Actually, more than half of the directors of this association were great, wonderful, smart, and all around good people.  BUT.....of course there are always about 3 or 4 that don't have a clue as to what is going on, but love to talk and tell the rest of the world how wonderful they are.  I am sure there are many of you thinking to yourself now..............wow, this sounds like my association or organization..........It is sort of like the following this holiday season.

      So.......for the holiday's 2010   "May the Holiday Bring"  ......someone to blow Mel Gibson.........away:    Brett Favre  keeping his ball-handling on the field and off his cell phone:   a proposed gay bar next to the proposed (ground zero) mosque:    And may the holiday bring Charlie Sheen starring in a revival of Neil Simon's "Plaza Suite"........The Kardashian Kristmas Tree (comes of course with a string of dim bulbs}....and for Larry King, a new role on "The Walking Dead".......Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton to "Hoover" up all the bed bugs:  And a special holiday treat....The McSnooki.......a sloppy, greasy piece of meat with two big buns......Someone to tell Ricky Martin that we already knew......
     Holiday's can be so much fun if you have a sense of humor and are just willing to say "Joke them if they can't take a Fuck............so thank you page 6 of the NY Post for giving me that smile and laugh on a daily basis all year long.  You are part of the reason that makes me enjoy all holidays.

aaaahhhhh. The wonders of reading the morning paper really can make your day. One would think there was enough shit going on all around us, but NO, we have to laugh at some of the nonsense that seem to make the local NY Post and will tomorrow be in some other local papers in the US.
     Of course the headline front Page............ta DA........Charlies Angel.  That is about Charlie Sheen and his Plaza Hotel drunken rant with a hooker and coke.  Actually, I thought that was a preview of next weeks 2 1/2 Men..........The UN is battling bedbugs. Along with the Met. Opera House, Empire State Building, Carnegie Hall, etc........Gees....Where do you expect these little guys to stay with rents as high as they are ?............James Cameron unveiled plans for 2 new Avatar movies... Great.....Maybe I better get around to seeing the first one........... Jon Stewart and the Prez in the Daily Show gig.  Way to go Jon........Iron Mike has told the paper that he would have been OK with Mel Gibson working on Hangover 2.  Now there are two peas in a pod.........Jones NY warns that clothing prices will climb. They can climb all they want, the end result is will they sell ???.........For a mere $339,000 you can buy a 400 sq foot apt on 85th street with maintenance of $731 per month. Good luck.........Watching the world series last night, I noticed that half of the SF Giants looked like they were teenagers. 
     But the real area of Bullshit is on Television, although that should come to a quick halt on Tuesday night.  Can you believe the lies, nonsense, and complete fiasco of each and every one of those ads??????  It really repulses me to have my intelligence questioned by most of this negative, name calling crap that is happening on both sides of the aisle.  Most of these politicians on the state level should be ashamed of themselves.  I am involved with a civic association where I reside, and it's a joke in a half there as well. Fortunately, we have one person on the city board that has a brain, and is trying to do a good job. Thank you Dawn Pardo for this.  As for most of the others on the board.......read this title..........
      Hurry up Tuesday, so that a new bunch of idiots can take power.

What Me Worry ????? What Me Complain ???????

 I have been told from time to time that I complain too much and pick on much too much and really seem to hate lots of things.  This is from good friends of mine.  Actually it is from people that I don't know so well also.   Well, it has also been mentioned to me from time to time from a receptionist at a doctors office, or someone I recently met who is stupid enough to read CRaP ????  OK, so I realize that on these few, very rare occasions, from time to time I actually do pick on a few things.  So what if they are either front page newspaper stories or lead stories, or just a little article on page 5 or 6 of a local paper.

Anyway ?????? Does anyone really read a newspaper anymore ?????  I don't really think so...... I do strictly for comic relief and for something to do while eating breakfast, usually after my morning trip to the gym.
     So I will admit to blasting and talking Crap about some things that do piss me off, as well as admitting to reading a daily trash paper. (New York Post).  Can't read the NY Times because I would get Liberalamites disease and really be pissed off daily.  I could watch FOX in the am and get conservativeamites disease and also be pissed off daily.  I guess I will just go on my merry way and make up my own mind.    But Picking on Everything, and being angry ????????????  No, No, No.....

Sure, it's only been going on since Jan 2007.  Once again large companies just fucken with us and doing what they want........but don't worry all you IPhone freaks, I'm sure there will be an app out in a week to simulate 5 bars...

         Also page 1 and page 5......New tax in NY for cigarettes.   Yup $14.50 a pack by Penn Station, $14.00 on 5th ave near 46th st. But for you idiots that insist on smoking and getting lung cancer there is a Kiosk at 33 rd and 7th where they are only $12.50 per pack.  Wow a real bargain for those horrible smokers.  
     Oh yes on page 3...Paris Hilton was detained in Johannesburg for possession of some pot after the world cup.....Good for you Paris, but don't get caught you nitwit.
     Page 3  an attack on one of the Harry Potter stars because she had a boyfriend.
     Page 7  India Gal a Slave worker....You got it....An Indian government official  forced a young girl now 21 to giving him and his wife daily massages, do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands and chores   blah, blah,blah  for about $108 per month.  They brought her in from India a few years ago. Oh yes, she also slept on the floor........How terrible.  Where can I get one of them ?
     Page 7.   Abercrombie & Fitch was forced to close two Manhattan stores because of a bed bug infestation.. I thought bed bugs came from beds ?????
     I couldn't find anything about the oil spill or international events, but that is why it's a local paper.  BTW, there was about 20 great pages in the sport section devoted to the Yankees, Mets, Knicks, and Net's.....So it can't be that bad.
        I might have over exaggerated this newspaper a little, but the reality is they are much worse than me.......................................................and they have a few more followers..............that really sucks........
      And for the record, I really don't get pissed at everything and I am certainly  not prejudiced. I simply hate everyone equally............LOL all and Happy Birthday America.
