Magic Jackoff Plus

It's as easy as one, two, three, or so says that fucking annoying kid in the Magic Jack commercial that says...."This is Magic and this is Jack"....I hate that fucking little kid...He or she (I still can't decide) is going to grow up to be the worlds biggest liar, just as Mr. Magic Jack is.

   

Let me rewind a little. I have used Magic Jack for one year and decided to upgrade to Magic Jack Plus for several reasons. First of all the regular MJ was $29.95 for renewal as they raised their price in less than one year...But.....they did that so they can sell Magic Jack Plus for 29.95 as they obviously were phasing out the original one.  OK, I have no problem with that, except for some of the following.
   

 

The ads clearly say they will give you a telephone number, or you may keep your existing phone number.  The problem is keeping your existing phone number requires an additional $9.95 fee to transfer it to Magic Jack...Guess what ?  That seems pretty fair and reasonable, especially due to the fact you need a fucking magnify glass to see this little fact on your screen.  It usually pops up after you have paid and they it gives you the option to keep your own number.  Once again, I still think that is somewhat fair and reasonable because everything is difficult these days.

       

Now comes the part that has me so pissed off I want to scream.  The other day I renewed my Magic Jack Plus for year number 2.  No problem there until I went to make a call yesterday. (I use my cell for almost everything, but just have a land line for I don't know why ? )  I picked up the phone to make a cal and wham, bam, bang, crap......Some recording tells me I have to renew my number. Now the fun begins.....Naturally they have no live customer service to speak to, so it's off to the races with on-line communication with some idiot that only reads from a book and types exactly what she or he reads.
  

This live chat person should be shot, but goes on to explain to me this $9.95 charge is a yearly expense, although it is impossible to find out where it says this...Why should you have to pay yearly for keeping your number you have already paid to transfer it to MJ. ???? .She finally sends me a link to that information....What Bullshit...What a money maker. What a load of crap...How do we as consumers let them get away with this ?  It's not the $9.95 extra per year, but the fact that I think I am getting screwed with no pleasure.
      

And I replied to your stupid customer service request as POOR.......Magic Jack.....you win my award of the week for being "Unethical Bastards."    Hope you enjoy it.
      FYI.....Magic Jack service is fair to good.....Caller ID sucks as only has number and no names, but for the price for a line or extra line it is certainly worth it.. Also great if your using a fax.  I use my fax probably 3 times per year...It amazes me how some people don't know how to scan and use email, but insist of faxing......It is 1984 ? Right ?
