Stupidity 101

Sometimes even the truth is hard to believe.  There are times when you look at something right in front of you and completely cannot imagine for a second that you are actually seeing what in fact you are seeing.
     

This is 100% completely and totally true.  It's so true and real, that I am having a hard
time myself actually believing this really happened just a few hours ago...Now that I have your attention, I'll share this tidbit with you.
        

I had picked up a magic jack for a friend of mine the other day.  A few hours ago, I went to her house to install it for her. No big deal !!!  But just a little problem.   She has an old phone system that still uses wires, and telephone jacks from the 1970's.  Well, it won't work and would require buying new phones that simply plug in.  OK, so to make this short, we decided to wait and explore other options. Fair enough...So, I figured that I would return the magic jack that I purchased in the first place.

I was passing Walmart, so figured I would return it. 2 seconds right ????  Wrong !!!
       

Waited on line for a while looking and admiring the Walmart customer...ha ha....Then the fun began...I showed the receipt to the clerk with the magic jack box completely sealed with that heavy duty tape that can't be opened without a sledge hammer. It was exactly as purchased....Well, this brilliant clerk saw fit to get some scissors in a vain attempt to open the box.  He finally got it opened to check and confirm the magic jack was in there...How the fuck could it ever have gotten out of that sealed box ?   Anyway, he then had to attach a special tag so as to able to send it back to the manufacturer.  So, bottom line is this.  Instead of simply putting it back in stock, it now is going to make a trip back to the land where little magic jacks are made.  It will get repacked, spend some time on a UPS truck, and complete a journey only to get repacked and shipped back to some other retailer.............Oh........wonder why prices are steadily on the rise ? Now you know.....all from dumb ass store clerks....
