Really Now ?????? Are you sure ??????

Really now General Petraeus ?  I am a loyal American, probably like 90 % of the American people that think you are doing a wonderful job. Your efforts in the past have proven to be of the highest degree. ( Of course one never knows what kind of news will come out tomorrow about your past, or way of handling the war...But that is another story).
This is the end of the July 4th weekend holiday or Independence day as some of us call it. Maybe that is why you made that comment?

    We all know and have seen our president talking about the great job you will do in Afghanistan and no doubt that will be the truth. At least we all hope so.  I personally love positive thinking and positive press and basically anything positive.  It's great to be focused and think and act that way.  This blog probably is not the ideal place to read about positive stuff, because that is really no fun to read about..............But General.........I would really like to ask you one little question about a comment you made all over the press, TV, on line news, radio, blogs, and every other means of communication.    You clearly and distinctly said, and I quote your comment about Afghanistan, "We are in this to win".   

     Is it me, or am I the only one I know that resents this remark ?????  What the fuck are you talking about.  No, we are not in this to win, but to come in second place ? Or  No, we are not in this to win, but hopefully we will do pretty good ?  Of course we are in it to win. Every single person in the USA wants us to win.  We are not a country of idiots.  Why can't you just say that we are going to kick ass as soon as possible and suggest our enemy put down their arms and go home to their families before we blow their fucken brains out........They know we are in this to win, BUT......aren't they in it to win as well ?
       You do have something going in your favor however.  The fact that you don't have someone like me (Pictured below) out there fighting for you.  If that was the case, You would be correct in saying We are in this war to come in second best.    lol.

What Me Worry ????? What Me Complain ???????

 I have been told from time to time that I complain too much and pick on much too much and really seem to hate lots of things.  This is from good friends of mine.  Actually it is from people that I don't know so well also.   Well, it has also been mentioned to me from time to time from a receptionist at a doctors office, or someone I recently met who is stupid enough to read CRaP ????  OK, so I realize that on these few, very rare occasions, from time to time I actually do pick on a few things.  So what if they are either front page newspaper stories or lead stories, or just a little article on page 5 or 6 of a local paper.

Anyway ?????? Does anyone really read a newspaper anymore ?????  I don't really think so...... I do strictly for comic relief and for something to do while eating breakfast, usually after my morning trip to the gym.
     So I will admit to blasting and talking Crap about some things that do piss me off, as well as admitting to reading a daily trash paper. (New York Post).  Can't read the NY Times because I would get Liberalamites disease and really be pissed off daily.  I could watch FOX in the am and get conservativeamites disease and also be pissed off daily.  I guess I will just go on my merry way and make up my own mind.    But Picking on Everything, and being angry ????????????  No, No, No.....
      I will prove it to you right now.........Wish Walter Winchell was here to give us a " Good Evening Mr. and Mrs. America and All the Ships at Sea ".....  This is for you Walter.

     Page 1  Headline.....Wormy Apple........IPhone maker admits to signal bars being bogus and promises a quick fix.???? Sure, it's only been going on since Jan 2007.  Once again large companies just fucken with us and doing what they want........but don't worry all you IPhone freaks, I'm sure there will be an app out in a week to simulate 5 bars...

         Also page 1 and page 5......New tax in NY for cigarettes.   Yup $14.50 a pack by Penn Station, $14.00 on 5th ave near 46th st. But for you idiots that insist on smoking and getting lung cancer there is a Kiosk at 33 rd and 7th where they are only $12.50 per pack.  Wow a real bargain for those horrible smokers.  
     Oh yes on page 3...Paris Hilton was detained in Johannesburg for possession of some pot after the world cup.....Good for you Paris, but don't get caught you nitwit.
     Page 3  an attack on one of the Harry Potter stars because she had a boyfriend.
     Page 7  India Gal a Slave worker....You got it....An Indian government official  forced a young girl now 21 to giving him and his wife daily massages, do the cooking, cleaning, laundry, errands and chores   blah, blah,blah  for about $108 per month.  They brought her in from India a few years ago. Oh yes, she also slept on the floor........How terrible.  Where can I get one of them ?
     Page 7.   Abercrombie & Fitch was forced to close two Manhattan stores because of a bed bug infestation.. I thought bed bugs came from beds ?????
     I couldn't find anything about the oil spill or international events, but that is why it's a local paper.  BTW, there was about 20 great pages in the sport section devoted to the Yankees, Mets, Knicks, and Net's.....So it can't be that bad.
        I might have over exaggerated this newspaper a little, but the reality is they are much worse than me.......................................................and they have a few more followers..............that really sucks........
      And for the record, I really don't get pissed at everything and I am certainly  not prejudiced. I simply hate everyone equally............LOL all and Happy Birthday America.











 Lindsay Lohan Turns 24, Gets 'Punched' by Waitress

I remember moving from the Bronx to Queens when I was younger, how modern I thought everything was, especially in the kitchen.  Our refrigerator when I was a kid was really modern. At least I thought it was at the time.  There was a freezer within the refrigerator that had a couple of metal trays for making ice. I think it took a good 24 hours to make some ice cubes. There was no ice-maker, just those silly little metal trays.  In fact, you had to put it under hot water to get out the ice.  Then a great invention revolutionized things. Someone came out with a pull handle on the metal tray, so you simply had to lift it up, and the ice cubes would fall all over the place.  AHHHHH, it was really the future...Oh, did I mention what needed to be done when the ice built up all around that little ice compartment ? It looked like the iceberg that hit the titanic.  No, it did not defrost by itself.  That was the fun part and if you were lucky, your mother would let you do it.(That is defrost it )  First of all, you had to remove the ice trays and throw away the ice. Naturally, you had to shut off the power to the entire unit before doing this.  You would then put boiling hot water in the trays and put them back in the fridge to begin the ice melting process.  Sometimes we would put a pot of boiling water there instead.

After about 30 minutes of repeating this process, the outer ice build up would begin to melt.  Now this did not happen all at once, but required constantly cleaning up the water with either a rag, sponge or something similar. Now comes the fun part.  When the melting got a little faster, you would take your mothers hair dryer and carefully aim it at the ice glacier to help it melt.  This also took some time... What was really fun began when you were able to peel away the ice with your hands a section at a time.  This whole process had to be carefully coordinated......The boiling water in pots and trays, the clean up, the hair dryer, the peeling off.  This was no job for an amateur .  This took guts, and time and effort. But then it was done and you looked at that wonderful , clean, no iced up freezer compartment, and you knew.................Your job was done..........It was a pathetic process, but someone had to do it.

     Now look at the modern day refrigerator.  Wow how great it is ?????? I wonder what my granddaughter is going to blog about fifty years from now ? Will it be about her memory of the refrigerator in her house while growing up ??????  Ridiculous  Huh????
