My Local Buffet

I am sure that I have mentioned more than once that I am single and live alone most of the time. Have done the marriage thing and , well, I will leave it at that.  I also live on a relatively small barrier  island in South Florida.  I hate to cook as well as not being able to at all.  The fact that I have spent a good portion of my life dining out , traveling, and getting divorced, I consider myself somewhat of an expert on dining.

I usually do not like buffets of any type, but will tolerate them, especially when I am alone.  Tonight I was alone and went to a small local place called the Carving Station.  I have no problem going there along because it is quick, fairly close, cheap, and I am able to eat lots of vegetables that I would normally never have.  Plus, it's fun to watch some of the pathetic people eating there.  It is relatively a small place with one person carving the meats and the rest self service.  It is the furthest thing from fancy and just to be fair and honest, it looks nothing at all like the pictures above.
Truth be told, it looks more like this picture.  Every time I go there, I swear that I will never go back because I can't stand looking at the nasty obese people that seem to go there on a daily basis to practice their fucking great skills of "Plate Filling".  This is a special technique where they are able to take two plates at a time and manage to fill 100 % of each plate with food piled about six inch's  high as well.  They are so good at doing this and manage never to spill a drop.
Sometimes they manage to sit close to the tables because they can't sit around them.  It really is not a pretty site.
For those few who can manage to fit in a booth, it is a wonderful experience to watch.  It is not watching them plop everything down and sit themselves.......Oh No.......It's when they try to get out of the booth to make their second or third trip up to the buffet line.
It's easy to find the place, because the parking lot usually is a dead giveaway.
Once again, the above looks really good, but naturally it has nothing to do with this story.  I am home now after a nice easy meal, (one trip to the buffet table, lots of veggies, no bread ) and am feeling somewhat good.. Actually, I am somewhat nauseous as these pictures I found are really too close to the reality of eating at this buffet......So once again I will tell myself that I will never go back there ?????

PS.  Now is the time to buy some great CRaPUSA gifts for Fathers Day.....Go to zazzle.com/crapusa to see the CRaP Store.
