Mutiny of the Bounty

I bet you thought this was going to be something educational or perhaps something to do with the sea ?  It's amazing how deceptive a little picture can be, especially when the title reads something different.

         But enough of this mumbo jumbo bullshit....I just got back from Publix (my local supermarket which has thousands of stores in Florida ).  I am single and don't usually buy much crap as I am a lousy cook and would rather go out to eat. However, I do keep some essentials in the house for emergencies.  I also would like to think I am a pretty smart shopper and certainly like to save money whenever possible.  Let me tell you something.......That is an impossible task.  I am convinced it is a conspiracy between all Supermarkets and Manufacturers to fuck each and every customer.
       Tonight, I purchased a package of 8 Giant Rolls of Bounty Paper Towels that were on sale with a saving of five dollars and some change.  Wow, I thought I was doing good and it nice to save some money.

         What a surprise I had when I got home and put them away, right next to the other Bounty paper towels I had purchased in Costco recently.  I noticed these 8 Giant Rolls were like midgets next to the Mega Rolls I had from Costco.  I then looked at the sheet count and eventually went on line to do some proper research.  I was not going to let Bounty get the best of me.

        Guess What ?????   Those fucking giants have beat us again.  My extensive research on this showed me the following. I am going to exclude the types of paper towel. Included in that list is white, printed, extra soft, fun etc.  Now lets get down the the fun part where they are giving it to us right up the old.............  There are Regular size rolls, there are Basic size rolls, there are Value size rolls, there are Giant size rolls, there are Mega size rolls.   Get the point. ?

You got the point....12 Super Jumbo Rolls = 24 Regular Rolls.........8 Giant Rolls = 12 Regular Rolls...If you think that I am ever going to figure this out or know the difference when I am in a store....You are crazy.......Great work Bounty for being smart enough to package your product in such a great way that no one in this country can or ever will figure out how they are getting screwed.  We do know, however, that we are coming home with a nice big package of paper towels that we really have no idea if we are overpaying, getting a bargain, or just plain getting absorbed by it.
