Help, Help, Help,Help, Help........Last week a friend was having a hard time trying to decide what kind of mattress to get. So being my usual smart-ass self, I decided to do some research and write a blog about this to help her out. (actually I think I made it more difficult for her, because I listed all the insane possibilities and really did cause confusion ). Well, you all know the expression "what goes around, comes around", and "be careful what you wish for" and "Karma", and, well you get the idea.
The tide has turned and now my contract is almost up with Verizon and I will shortly be in the market for a new smart phone or device as we will refer to it as.
First there were huge cell phones, then smaller and smaller, then flip flop, then IPhone, then blackberry, then touch screen, then smarter phones, then Android, and so on. What a simple solution ......right.......no damn way. I really want 2 cans with a piece of string to hear, but that is not going to happen. So I guess I have to be reasonable.
I am pretty good with computers and electronic
gadgets, so I am comfortable with almost anything. I have always had the newest and latest mobile phone and really want to do the same now.........How the fuck is that possible ????? It cannot be done. It is a ridiculous task for anyone to master. The easiest thing would be to flip a coin and go with that....or just close my eyes and point. These devices are coming out weekly, and each week they are better and more advanced than the week before. Same principle as the flat screen television.
God, I am so sorry I picked on the mattress purchase...I am looking at it now and I deeply apologize to anyone I insulted.....(that's bull shit, but I got it off my chest)......I googled smart phones before and there are 24 million sites. Cell phones has 14 million, IPhone 12 million, Droid 21 million and blackberry 142 million.... Great...That really narrows down my search..
So lets get down to business and let the fight begin....
I will be able to change carriers or stay with Verizon in 30 days, so I am preparing myself. I am not completely crazy yet, because I do realize that whatever decision I make these next few weeks, will probably be changed due to the release of the newest of new smart device. I love the great apps and the toy effects of most of the new devices. The IPhone 4g has everything I would want, with the exception of not being able to make a damn call and/ or dropping every other call. No big deal, but I would not get anything connected with AT&T. So I have a choice of 3,000 different blackberry's, except I have a storm 2 now, and am getting tired of RIM and their whole system. It doesn't take much for me too get pissed at a product.
The new Droid operating system. I had my eyes on a Droid a few months ago, but then came the droid Incredible which I had my heart set on. But no, they had to screw this up and tell me about the new Droid X that came out a few days ago. I ran to Verizon to look at it and immediately fell in love. With my heart fluttering, I was told they were out of stock, but would have more in another 2 weeks. I was fine with that and thought the romance would be able to stand the test of time......Today, I was reading the reviews for the X and most were really great, with one or two not so good.....I was somewhat relieved and thought to myself that the battle was over, and I finally won......Wrong ??????????????????? Next paragraph spoke of the NEW, NEW VERIZON IPhone that would be out by the end of the year and will revolutionize the industry..........Crap, Crap, Crap, Crap, Crap, Crap, Crap........here we go again........What is a guy to do ?????? Oh Yes. I did ask friends what they like or would get ??? What another big mistake..That was completely a clusterfuck and now I am back where I started. Crap, Crap, and more Crap.
