Everyone has a local pizza parlor in their neighborhood. Probably have a local Chinese take out somewhere around there as well. I love pizza just like the next person and realize there is no shortage of pizza places where you can eat in, or most likely have it delivered. In doing some research there are about 60,000 pizza parlors in the US, but I think that is a very low figure. There is lots of stories about pizza in US at Pizza Info (the link). Who doesn't like a great slice of Pizza and a cold drink ? In fact I wrote a little blog about pizza, pizza, pizza in Feb that talks about real Italian Pizza . Don't get me wrong, I am not going to bitch about pizza or some of the local pizza parlors, but I don't understand one thing.???????????? Why the F**k do these dumb ass pizza places have to send out those stupid paper coupons that basically cover everything on their menu ? WTF should I have to cut out a coupon the size of a stamp to get another free topping on my pie ? Who came up with this stupid idea ?
I went with my son last night to get a pie and a coke at a local place near where he lives. I ordered a small pie with two toppings and two drinks. The guy (who is a friend of my son) says to me, " Wait a minute, I have some coupons in the back that I will give you " Naturally I thanked him although I did not know for what. I gave him the coupons without tearing it apart. While eating, I looked at the check, looked at the prices on the wall, and decided the price is exactly the same with or without the coupon......Are these people all f**ken crazy ? What is the point of these paper make believe coupons ?
Whatever happened to the days of just serving good food at real prices ? What is the point of these paper coupons ? I can't figure it out. The same is true for Chinese take out places. I want a coupon good for a free pizza, or a free bottle of soda. I have already notified the PPP (Pizza Paper Police) and they are looking into this ridiculous coupon situation. Why can't they just charge whatever the price is and use the money they are saving to hire someone to clean the tables and the floors ?
