Do Not Surrender..........aka Shopping at warehouse stores

Happy Memorial Day.  This holiday brings back lots of memories for me.  My time in the Army, my younger days having off from work, the long weekends in the Hampton's, the start of the summer season , and most recently...........................shopping in Costco yesterday........... I am still shaking from this experience that I intend to share with you later.... In the meantime, I will leave you with a little picture that is still in my mind from yesterday..............OMG ????

WTF Now

Almost 100 million people text on a regular basis. Texting is done on cell phones, smart phones, chat rooms, blogs, and almost everything. It is sort of like a new age of shorthand.  Don't get me wrong, as I am one of those who try to use this type of shorthand whenever I am on my Droid X.  The only problem I have is that my Droid is much smarter then me, and automatically types out the words before I have time to enter the shortcut (which for the most part are not recognized by the keyboard). So already, there is a problem of saving time.

     Maybe I am getting too old for some of the more advanced abbreviations, but there are thousands of them. Do I need to learn a new language now or can't I just go along with what I know ?  1174 means Nude Club..........53X means Sex.......?^ means Hook Up ?........  IDK, but Isn't it easier to spell these words out ???  It's easier, more accurate, and certainly less of a chance of saying something really stupid.

     I guess it's all personal preference. I consider myself very forward thinking, but some of this is just plain ridiculous.  Well, I think it is time for me to be AFK. (which means Away From Keyboard  or A Free Kill.  The bottom line is this.  After looking at the thousands of abbreviations on so many different web sites, I decided the only thing that I was able to get out of this , is.

    Spell Check has no idea of any of these abbreviations either.

SMS Shortcuts.....we all use them.......is it easier or what ? It is like another language and I will give you my pathetic views on this RFT later. So until L8R, BFN.
