What the fuck is the problem with these large stores ? Why do they manage to make all our lives so miserable ? It's easy to shop. It's easy to find everything. It's a breeze and usually does not take very long. Until we are about to check out.
Let me explain myself. I usually go to the gym in the morning. Sometimes when I need to pick up one or two things, I go into the local Target store which is right next to my gym, and usually I can be in and out of there in only a few minutes. It's a huge store and I think have about 843 checkout lanes. Naturally, only a few of them are ever open. Well, the other day I was carrying some juice, cream cheese and one or two other items. I carefully looked at the cashiers and made my dash for the smallest line. There was a middle aged lady in front of me that seemed to be almost checked out..................................until...................
I heard this bitch say, " Oh, I have some coupons and a store credit". OK, so this should only take a minute.....Right ???????? Hell No.......Because then she started with a "Oh", I don't know if I have enough money with me. Well I knew I was fucking doomed and there was nothing else to do. I looked at the other lines and they were all busy.
I looked back into the store and saw a couple of other ladies simply shopping and rolling their cart around the store.
Then I noticed another pretty lady rolling around by herself in a cart. I didn't know what to do anymore and wasn't sure where to focus my attention. It was then I heard this voice in the distance say " Sir, may I help you ? " Yes, I was daydreaming.
It took only a few seconds to check out and I used my smart phone to charge my purchase and off I went.
Shopping should be so easy and fun. Damn we are fucked up. (or are we?)
