Drug Chains / Drug Stores / Drug Coupons / Drug Dealers

I hate big drug chains. They all have false advertisements . They all send out bullshit coupons. They all make you carry those stupid plastic cards for rebates that don't mean a thing.  They have super duper big specials to lure you in.  They sell food, candy, greeting cards, have photo departments, have automotive departments, school supplies, household items, outdoor furniture.  They have emergency health services at the bigger stores.  They sell everything.........Why?????????? Of course to get you in and have you walk to the back through jammed aisles and displays in the hopes of reaching......................................The RX department................Yes, the only and most profitable part of the store.  They will do anything to get you to their drug dealers.  They will give you $25.00 to move a prescription from another drug store.  They will pay shipping costs on anything they send to you.  They will gladly refill your RX automatically and have it ready for pick up , or send it to you.  Short of kissing your ass for your business, they will stop at nothing to fill that little Rx. your doctor wanted you to take.  They will smile, they will have a BP machine handy to take your pressure while you wait. Again.........it is profitable and the reason there is a major drug chain on every corner in your city.
Goodbye to the small mom and pop drug stores that you grew up with where they knew your family and your name.  They are gone.  Forget about going into the new drug chains and have them remember your name....Ha, ha.......Just look at those bins filled with prescriptions waiting to be picked up.....
I forgot why I am so pissed at drug chains ?  Now I know.  See those ads in the local paper, the handout when you enter the store, the e mail you recently received, the coupon you got on the receipt the last time you were there, the gigantic sale sign in the window????? Why do those prices seem so cheap compared to the same items in the super market or other local store????? Thought you would never ask.....The reason is simple....Say you saw a tube of Colgate tooth paste somewhere for $3.69 and now you see a super, dooooooper, managers special, or weekend special, or holiday special, or anniversary special, or whatever for $3.19 for the same item......Sounds pretty good to me.    BUT  WAIT.........look at the size. Look at the quantity in ounces, weight, size, or whatever. I guarantee you the tooth paste was 12 oz. tube, as opposed to a 14 or 16 oz. tube you saw in the other store. Guess it really is not the same item. Most of the time this will go unnoticed.  What a bunch of thieves.   For that big chains like CVS, Walgreens, etc. my special FU of the day.
BTW. I own some CVS stock and its never been better........So to you drug dealers on the street....I hope this little bit  of merchandising advice helps you out.  (not really)
